INFORMATION ACTIVITIES
The Institute for Cultural Programs has functioned as an arts and cultural information center since 1994. ICP assembles, systematizes, and disseminates information using modern information technology. ICP maintains databases which feature extensive information on arts and cultural organizations, regardless of their form of ownership and/or administration. • Contemporary St. Petersburg Art • St. Petersburg Next Year: A Calendar of Events The Institute is participating in the creation of several websites designed to distribute information about cultural, business, and arts activities in St. Petersburg: • "The Official St. Petersburg City Administration Website" EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The educational activities of the Institute for Cultural Programs are directed toward the preparation of highly qualified specialists to meet rising demand in the rapidly growing economic sector of culture, arts and tourism. In 1999, ICP organized educational courses for some 400 employees in the cultural sphere, such as administrators of theaters and concert organizations, director of cinemas, museum and children's libraries, public relations specialists, etc. As a member of the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centers, the Institute takes an active role in international educational programs, symposiums and conferences. It also cooperates closely with national and local educational centers.
